Areas of Practice
Laurie began her career as an intern at Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office and then served as a Deputy District Attorney in the 18th Judicial District. Her experience as a prosecutor working on family law matters has made her a skilled litigator. Laurie specializes in family law cases including dissolution of marriage, legal separation, allocation of parental responsibilities (custody), paternity, post-decree modifications and enforcement, child support, contempt, pre and post-nuptual agreements and appeals. In addition, Laurie handles misdemeanor criminal cases including domestic violence, driving under the influence, child abuse and traffic infractions.
Outside of the office, Laurie is a longtime volunteer and chair of the board of directors for Southeast Community Outreach (SECOR), a non-profit organization that provides a food bank, Christmas gifts, holiday meals and other assistance to people in need in the southern suburbs of the Denver Metro Area. Laurie also volunteers at Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue (RMFR), where she helps cats find loving homes.
