Mrs. Amat-y-Leon is a senior litigation associate with Burnham Law. Mrs. Amat-y-Leon is experienced in all areas of Colorado domestic relations and family law, including dependency and neglect proceedings. Her practice focuses on contested child custody and visitation cases within the Colorado Front Range.

Ms. Amat-y-Leon obtained her J. D. degree (2007) from the University of Denver College of Law and her B. A. degree (2004) from the University of Colorado in Boulder.

She is both a mom and a step-mom to six children. She has a passion for horses, basset hounds, and all animals. In addition to her family law practice, she represents animal rescues and equestrian businesses in the Denver area.

In her family law practice, Mrs. Amat-y-Leon litigates highly contested child custody cases, in addition to divorce and family support matters. She is experienced with issues involving paternity, juvenile, dependency and neglect (D&N), contempt and enforcement proceedings. She is an experienced litigator as well as negotiator in handling and resolving domestic relations cases favorably for her clients.
